Currently working out of her home studio in Orlando, FL, Amaya has been lampworking since July 2003. She has always dabbled in some type of art medium all of her life from pottery, drawing, wood work, and even gem faceting! After attending a stained glass guild meeting with her father in early 2003, she was introduced to Lori Robbinswho had some of her lampwork beads with her. That was it! It was love at first sight! After some research Amaya found FlameTree Glass  a local hot glass supply store that also had classes. Amaya’s class resume is extensive, she has been taught by many, including: Lance and Maureen McRorie, Beth Olson, Travis Tyler, Kim Miles, Corina,Kristina Logan, Sharon Peters, Lori Robbins, Brad Pearson, Sylvie Elise Lansdowne, Leah Fairbanks, Kim Fields, Jennifer Geldard, Tink Martin and Kim Affleck. She has also extended her glass pallet and taken instruction from Charles Keila.

Amaya’s lampworking career continues to grow and evolve, and is looking forward to a very bright future ahead of her and hopes that she can bring some of you along for the ride!
